The aim of this course is to teach students the meaning
and significance of the Turkish Revolution. The main subject
of the course is War of Independence. The roots of the
Turkish Republic (i.e., the social and economic structure of
the Ottoman Empire) as well as fundamental concepts relevant
to the subject (such as republic, freedom) are also covered
during the course.
